Lahore (Daily Pakistan Online) The captains of the Pakistan team’s ODI and T20 teams have been decided for the tour of New Zealand.
Private TV Geo News has claimed from sources that Muhammad Rizwan will lead the ODI team while Salman Ali Agha will lead the Pakistan T20 team.
Earlier, news had emerged that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had completed consultations on the Pakistani squad and management for the tour of New Zealand.
According to sources, interim head coach Aqib Javed is likely to be retained in his post during the tour of New Zealand. Sources had said that Muhammad Rizwan will remain the captain of the ODI squad and a few changes are expected in the team, while major changes are going to be made in the T20 squad, including the captain.
Sources had said that Shadab Khan is a strong candidate for the captaincy of the T20 team. Muhammad Rizwan was not the captain of the T20 team during the tour of Zimbabwe as well. Salman Agha was the captain.
