Pakistani Passport Ranks Among Lowest in Global Travel Freedom Index

A recent report has revealed that the Pakistani passport offers limited travel freedom, ranking among the lowest in the world. According to the Henley Passport Index, which ranks passports based on the number of visa-free travel destinations, the Pakistani passport holds the 109th position, allowing visa-free access to only 26 countries.

The report highlights the challenges faced by Pakistani citizens when traveling abroad, with many countries imposing strict visa requirements or restrictions. This limited travel freedom can hinder business, education, and tourism opportunities, as well as restrict the ability of Pakistani citizens to connect with the global community.

In contrast, passports from countries such as Japan, Singapore, and South Korea offer the most travel freedom, with visa-free access to over 190 countries. The report also notes that the gap between countries with the most and least powerful passports continues to widen, reflecting global inequalities and geopolitical tensions.

The Pakistani government has been working to improve the country’s international reputation and strengthen diplomatic ties, but the report suggests that more needs to be done to enhance the travel freedom of Pakistani citizens.
